Initial Consultation
The first step in any partnership is getting to know each other. Before making any kind of commitment, you would like to know what you’re getting into and a lot more about your new potential partner. Resolve makes this easy. By signing up for a FREE 30 minute Initial Consultation, Resolve can get to know more about you and what you want to accomplish and you can get to know us and how we can help you.
First, we get to know you and what you want out of your career and life in general. Then, we share with you more details about Resolve and how we can help you get the specific things you mentioned. Next, we’ll go through our process in detail and answer any questions you might have. Lastly, we’ll talk about the investment required to use those services and the next steps to partnering should you choose to do so. All of this is provided at no cost to you.
Partnership Agreement
Good partnerships start with good agreements. Resolve makes it simple with an easy to understand, one page agreement that lists out the key details. By becoming a partner with Resolve you secure the services of some of the top experts in the country to help you negotiate a better deal. Your Resolve agent will thoroughly explain the process and can get started working directly for you putting in the countless hours of planning and preparation it will take to ensure success.
Detailed Consultation
Once the partnership is formed, your Resolve agent will spend a good deal of time getting to know as much about you as possible. Your agent will learn all about your professional background, training, current employment situation, what you want out of your new agreement, your life goals, hobbies and interests, your family, their goals and interests. Together, you and your Resolve agent will put together a Negotiation Plan to help you achieve the goals you have listed and your Resolve agent can consult with you about the marketplace for your services to compare your goals with the dynamics of the market.
Research
Resolve agents have access to nearly every open opportunity in the country and still more that aren't publicly posted. If you're looking for a new opportunity, your Resolve agent will comb through hundreds of open opportunities to find the few that fit the criteria you set forth saving you dozens of hours of often fruitless searching and the hassle of having to talk with recruiters. Even if you're seeking to renegotiate your current opportunity, it's important to have a realistic and acceptable Plan B should your negotiations not initially yield what is important to you. Your Resolve agent will help you find it without you spending countless hours trying to find it on your own.
Next, our Resolve agent will spend many hours researching the specifics of the employer you plan to negotiate with. Who are they? What are their needs and goals? What have they done in the past and what is their current situation? Negotiations can only be truly successful if both sides find value in the final agreement. Resolve seeks to achieve a win/win for both the physician and the employer. After all, you, as the physician, will have to work with your employer every day for the life of the agreement. It’s important to have a good working relationship for that tenure versus pursuing a strategy of winning at all costs. Armed with good information, your Resolve agent will be prepared to find a winning solution for a solid working relationship.
Contact Employer
After you, and your Resolve agent, have created your Negotiation Plan and researched the potential employer, your Resolve agent will contact the employer and let them know you are working with Resolve. This correspondence will initially be through a letter accompanied by a signed Authorization of Representation letter from you. The employer will be notified that all correspondence and communications related to the negotiations will go through Resolve and not with you directly. This will allow you to focus on practicing medicine and spending time on the things you enjoy in life and the not the anxieties and tensions of negotiation. Your Resolve agent will schedule a time to begin the negotiations that works for both the employer and the agent.
Initial Negotiations
At the agreed upon time, your Resolve agent and the prospective employer will meet to discuss your employment agreement. Your agent will communicate to the employer what you are looking for as agreed upon in your Negotiation Plan and allow the employer to consider the items listed. All decisions will ultimately be made by you. Your agent will not make commitments on your behalf without your authorization.
Client Consult
At the conclusion of any negotiation meeting, your Resolve agent will follow up with you to debrief. Any proposals and counter proposals will be discussed in detail for you to make decisions on and negotiation plans will be made for any follow up meetings with the employer.
Final Negotiations
Once all of the terms of the employment agreement are hammered out, your Resolve agent will consult with you to determine whether you accept them or need to continue negotiating.
Employment Agreement
Once verbal agreement is reached on the terms, the employer will send the employment agreement over. The agreement will be scrutinized by our health care employment experts on the Resolve team to ensure the verbiage reflects what was agreed to at the negotiation table and all points are clearly understood. If modifications are needed they will be communicated to the employer.
Sign and Celebrate
After the agreement is perfected, it’s time to sign it and celebrate your success!
Testimonials
"The investment in Resolves services was a great deal. I paid more to my real estate agent to sell my house than I did to my Resolve agent and I can tell you that my Resolve agent works a lot harder. Selling my house was only a one time deal but getting a better deal in my career will pay off year after year."
